I participated in Kathmandu Inside Out, an immersive workshop organised by award-winning photographer Edwin Koo.
The workshop taught the participants the art of visual story telling. But most of us learnt a lot more and left Kathmandu richer for the experience.
My story is about Rupesh Pariyar - a suit maker who labors quietly to provide for his family. He is a Christian in a country that is overwhelmingly Hindu. I imagined that he may face challenges living as a Christian in the Nepalese society. But after spending a week with him, I discovered and learnt that he is not so different from any other Christian living elsehwere.
In fact, not so different from me.
